A Vision for the Christian Church in Lindsay
Printable Version   Printable Version

Our VISION for the Christians who meet in Lindsay is to nurture new relationships with the Lord and to encourage believers to develop more intimate knowledge of their Savior. This VISION is a growing, nondenominational body whose mission is to carry out the Great Commission. Our purpose is to evangelize, to edify, to minister, and to be a faithful voice in the community.

  • As Christians we have inherent obligations to follow. These are some obligations envisioned as goals for each of us to approach:

  • Increase worship and bible study attendance through various organized services and group studies (at church and in homes);

  • Enhance Christian fellowship with organized and impromptu events;

  • Teach the basics first, develop lasting relationships with the Lord, encourage moral decision making (right choices) through pro-active involvement with the "Saved" and "Un-Saved" alike;

  • Develop an outreach program to touch young families and youth without reducing service to all those in need;

  • Strive to be the conscious of the community, share the influence of Christ within the community;

  • Promote global knowledge of Christ's church through active missionary involvement by being Christ's ambassadors;

  • Move toward a broad-based, interracial congregation with emphasis on community racial groups, by teaching multi cultural awareness and unification of racial ideas with the Holy Sprit;

  • Look to relocate the physical structure as needed to adapt to our growth...

In the Apostle Paul's words, "I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Phil 3:14 (NIV)
